Because she can easily be persuaded into all types of insanity, [livejournal.com profile] daegaer wrote me Rafa Nadal tennis bot AU! It is a thing of beauty.

Well, anyhow. I seem to have misplaced my faith in my writing ability recently, for the past four days. Maybe it fell down the back of the sofa or something, but I'm staring at the page with a blank mind, thinking 'this is crap' to every new line, and deleting. This kind of thing doesn't get me anywhere good.

In an attempt to crush the inner editor and get my brain going, I'm reviving an old meme:

Give me a character or pairing, and a word/scenario/some other form of inspiration and I'll write something (probably brief). I only want to write in Saiyuki or tennis rps fandoms at the moment.

ETA: thanks, I have enough now!

Hello 2008! A very happy new year to all. There were lots of fireworks last night and I have a hangover the size of which seems unfairly disproportionate to the amount of fizzy wine consumed. However, I did manage to spend some time reviewing my fiction output for 2007 and it is quite an enlightening activity, I must say.

I did this because I could do with a little bit of love right now. Not in the naughty way! Or, actually ... Never mind.

My entry on the anonymous love meme.

Eta! This rather nice meme, last scene on [livejournal.com profile] xsmoonshine's lj

Give me two characters from different fandoms you know I'm familiar with, and I'll give you a dialogue happening between the two of them. Without justifying how the crossover would work, how their worlds clashed, or how they could even meet each other. Just a silly crossover conversation with no backstory, for fun.

I did see this on my flist this morning, but now I can't find it.

Ask me about my fic--something I wrote, character, plotline, even a really short commentary--and I'll give you an explanation, snippet, or something. Kind of like a dvd commentary, but shorter and faster.

Not sure about the snippet side of things, but I'd love to answer any questions anyone might have.

So I haven't really given Supernatural much attention really, but they are too pretty to ignore, so I sat down and watched Born Under a Bad Sign (s2:14). I love how the camera smooches up to them for endless close ups. They are still pretty. Yes. And now for some very mild spoilers: Read more... )

This meme looks innnteresting and little bit frightening: tell me what stories you'd think I'd never write and I'll write a snippet of it. A little tiny snippet.

I'm trying to write my [livejournal.com profile] spring_kink challenges and failing abysmally. I can't understand it, because they're quite lickable. But the brain, it is not co-operating. Maybe a meme will be inspirational, I can hope. Via [livejournal.com profile] lexin

I've been on lj for five years, as of yesterday. It was because of HP fandom and the person I got an invite from (back in the days when you needed one) [livejournal.com profile] mapletide, isn't on my flist anymore, although I think they are still writing HP fic

[livejournal.com profile] daegaer tagged me to do the meme where you pick five stories of your own that you love, never mind thinking that they're your best stories, so I've tried to do that. I think I do love all these, for different reasons. There are stories that I've missed out that I suddenly want to include, like stripper!gojyo, but if I include that I'll want to include other things and I have to stop somewhere. Maybe these are the ones I love this afternoon.

Flowers of Earth Good Omens, Crowely/Aziraphale. The first GO story I wrote and it was a way of compressing everything I felt about that pairing into 500 words.

Something Strange. Because I adore the mystery of Gojyo's kappa heritage and also the story progression and Hakkai listening to Gojyo's voice at night.

After Midnight, Under the Trees. Saiyuki, Hakkai/Gojyo. Feeling my way around the characters for nearly the first time and enjoying it very much.

Soapland. Saiyuki AU, Hakkai/Gojyo. I love the atmosphere in this story and again, being able to write from Hakkai's POV, because he can always be a little crazy.

Weapon of Choice. Saiyuki. Gojyo gets his weapon out for Hakkai. I managed not to make the story a cheap joke, but rather got something quite intense about Hakkai and Gojyo and violence and probably sex too.

One Summer. Saiyuki AU. British teenagers abroad. Hee.

I want to whine, because there is not much Saiyuki fic about these days, and woe. Sadness. It seems like that anyway. And what is there I can do about it? Nothing, except write some. Or, what about some sort of fic challenge? I don't know. I'm tempted to turn this timestamp meme upside down and ask you what happens 10 years from now in Saiyuki. In fic form, obviously. Like, maybe Hakkai would have married his indestructible Gojyo wife. Or the journey west would still be going on, or be long over. And what did happen to that big lump Gyumaoh, anyway?

Well, hmm. For now, I'll distract myself this way:

From [livejournal.com profile] daegaer

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future afterthe end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

I also put my name down on [livejournal.com profile] juleskicks's 'Tell me what to create AnonyMeme', here.

So, um, you tell me what to write (and you can do it anonymously but you don't have to). There's a nice clause about it which says I don't have to necessarily write any of the ideas. Because it's not like I don't have enough ones already. But it's more for kicking ideas about, and having more can't be a bad thing, can it?

I have seven gaps in my alphabet o' titles. Clearly four words is my limit, and one is preferable. Eggs, snakes, water, snow, clouds, moon, summer. Hmmmm. A lot of them begin with I, W, S and H

B. Baby Snakes (Good Omens)
C. Cloud Layer (Good Omens)
E. Engagement (saiyuki)
F. Falling (Saiyuki)
G. Good Egg (Jeeves and Wooster)
H. Human like you (Good Omens)
I. In a Name (Saiyuki)
K. Kama Shatra (Good Omens)
L. Let it Snow (Good Omens)
M. Misunderstood (Saiyuki)

[livejournal.com profile] emungere keeps telling me I should do this because I am such a huge pervert it would be interesting, and so I am caving... the secret fic perversions challenge!

Basically it's an idea nabbed from [livejournal.com profile] blue_soaring, who says "Got something so twisted, so wrong, that you're embarrassed to ask for it or write yourself? Maybe makes you squirm and you're not sure if that's good or bad? If you've got the balls to ask for it, I'll write it." I have no idea how secretly perverted you all are (at a guess: a lot), but whatever you ask for I'll have a go at writing it, probably something between 200-1000 words.

Fandoms: Saiyuki, Antique Bakery, Samurai Champloo, Good Omens, Wild Adapter, Hikaru no Go

Okay, feeling perverted? Go!

It's my birthday on Wednesday, and I've left it a bit late to announce one of them birthday challenge things. But I thought I'd do something based on [livejournal.com profile] pearl_o's 5 kisses idea: write Louise a kiss for her birthday. If you want to.

It doesn't even need to be a nice kiss. It could be angry, or angsty. Or dirty, or whatever. Just, you know, all kisses are good. And gratefully received. :D eta: preferred fandoms are Saiyuki, House, Wild Adapter, Samurai Champloo and Antique Bakery (for the two people on flist who are reading it) and pairings, well, I'll leave that up to you. Demented crossovers are encouraged. It can be as short or long as you like.

A fic to do list. If I post it here, where I look every day, then maybe I can keep track of it all. Also, it makes me feel organised and that is a special feeling.

I've seen this all over-- it's an evil looking meme! Go on, test my poor aching brain:

A) Go to my fic and pick out a line or two from one of my stories.
B) I will respond with which story I think it's from.
C) Points and a scene to anyone who stumps me.

Fic is in memories or website

Hey, you! Draw me a picture! Write me a bit of fic! Produce something creative!

If you want. I'm really crap at this demanding thing, aren't I?

Help me! All my fics are stalled and I just can't seem to get an angle on anything. Even the ticket inspector on my train this morning looked at my notebook and said 'ah- a blank page. That's not a good sign.' I almost asked if he wrote.

I thought I'd copy [livejournal.com profile] daegaer's idea and try random ficlet therapy. If you give me a pairing/idea/some kind of inspiration I'll try and write a short, quick ficlet. I think I can really only manage Saiyuki fandom at the moment. Possibly Samurai Champloo as well.
louiselux: (Default)
From [livejournal.com profile] irisbleu, via [livejournal.com profile] lovelyzelda: What are your forgotten tales, and what led you to tell them?

These stories are the ones I keep forgetting I've written, which always give me a little start of surprise when I see them.

There is a Garden
A Sandman/From Eroica with Love fic pairing Dream/Klaus von dem Eberbach. Why? God knows. It sprang into my head and they're both pretty. But there's was a point beyond that, I seem to remember. When else could Klaus ever be free from his mountain of inhibitions but when dreaming-- it was all about getting Klaus to lighten up enough to have sex.

Britain 2025: Good Omens
Thora Hird led me to this fic and let's not forget my addiction to the Antiques Roadshow. Also, a visit to the British Museum's European Bourgeois Pottery exhibit, chock full of shepherdesses.

Untitled ficlet: Good Omens/Star Trek TNG: Crowley/Lwaxana Troi
I'll be blunt, looking at my notes it was the Brain Hurting Fanfic Pairer. [livejournal.com profile] daeager, [livejournal.com profile] yonmei and [livejournal.com profile] enigel seem to be to blame too, somehow. Shit, reading this again makes me realise I really love my own jokes too much-- I'm still laughing at the first one.

Flowers of Earth: Good Omens: Crowley/Aziraphale.
The first GO story I ever wrote, and I always forget it's there. This came from falling massively in love with the book and seeing that other people (like Daeager, who I barely knew then) were writing amazing fic. Now, in a way I think I said everything I ever wanted to say about them in this.

Untitled: Thief (yes the game): Garrett/Keeper
I wrote this in a shameless attempt to cajole someone else to write some Thief fic too, back when my yearning was strong. This fic is pretty rough - written as an exercise: I wrote 600 words and so did they. They wrote theirs, but no more was forthcoming and we both lost interest. Sad. I'm still yearning for that Garrett/Keeper fic.
