15 miles, most of an afternoon, total: 50 miles

They reach a belt of trees, mostly oaks with a few elms. Drops of rain fall.

We cycled along the river to Pangbourne and back again, so I have leapt ahead into day 3. The whole of today is summed up in this picture: bright and sunny and new.

We stopped and had a nice lunch by the river, then stopped again an hour later for beer, so we were very hobbit like in our behaviour. I'm sure it did me good though. *hic* No black riders seen, apart from those ones dressed in lycra and wrap around sports sunglasses.

I did want to post a picture of a cow (not a dead one), but I resisted.

I'm very lucky, because [livejournal.com profile] hungry_worm sent me chocolate biscuits. They're extremely chocolatey and delicious. Mmmm. Also note the homemade protective packaging, which I love to bits.

In other news, I did 4 miles on the bike yesterday, taking me to a total of 17.5

Climb a steep slope. Pippins yawns (Nearly midnight)

I put Akira to one side because I wasn't getting in to it and tried The Machinist instead, except that the spooky thinness of Christian Bale must've caused my TV to blow a gasket. It died right in front of my eyes and now only makes sad clunking noises when I switch it on, with no picture. Have spotted a likely replacement on ebay-- taxi distance, 3 years old and with a 28 inch screen. It's currently at £50 quid.

Day 69 - cock soup

Bought from the Butts Convenience Store. Fittingly it is day 69, too.

Yes, I am 12.

Day 65 - washing up bowl
Originally uploaded by other versions.
Beached soy sauce fish in the washing up bowl at work. I like the way they are even lying in little puddles.

Only 300 photos to go - well, 299, because this was yesterday's one. It might be one of my favourites so far.

Day 35

Our corner shop: the Butts Convenience Store.

They are challenging the Polish delis that have opened up recently and they do have a rather nice shelf of different Polish vodkas and rye bread. The Oxford road is now the place to get good vodka-- there is some honey vodka I have had my eye on recently.

I took this also partly because of the caption on the newspaper stand. The police just aren't looking hard enough.

Day 21 - River Thames

The nearly-flooded Thames on the way towards Sonning. Lots of water and sky, and wet feet.

Claims are open at the [livejournal.com profile] springkink, here and here. It's hard to resist, and they can be as little as 500 words, right? Like tiny little treats. I might have put my name down for a few...

Day 18 - Sign
Originally uploaded by other versions.
Today's photo - a huge bit of billboard. Perhaps not appropriate for the weather that brought it to my door, but appropriate for my mood.

I also put my name down on [livejournal.com profile] juleskicks's 'Tell me what to create AnonyMeme', here.

So, um, you tell me what to write (and you can do it anonymously but you don't have to). There's a nice clause about it which says I don't have to necessarily write any of the ideas. Because it's not like I don't have enough ones already. But it's more for kicking ideas about, and having more can't be a bad thing, can it?

Day 14

Which I think is why [livejournal.com profile] emungere wrote me the beginning of a poem about Tennyson mysteriously catapulted through time only to fall in love with Johnny Weir.

I don't know either! No, I do. It's because I said Tennyson was hot when he was younger. With fabulous hair! I saw this portrait of him in the National Gallery, you see, and things went from there.

She is a strange and wonderful person. ♥

365 project

One photo a day for 365 days. I can do that. In fact I can do a lot more than that, but the point is apparently that you pick one photo a day that best sums up the memorable thing about your day. It can be anything, really: work, home, places, people, stuff. Already I am wondering how you take pictures of fandom.

If you're interested and want to keep up with developments, I made a Flickr account for it, here: Louise's 365 project

As for Flickr, it dives me a bit nuts and the layout confuses me on a daily basis. I'm not sure yet how to make them show up in chronological order so at the moment the latest one is at the beginning. It's still probably easier than using lj galleries though.

ps - more people should do this, and let me know if you do. It's not too late to start.
