Finally, Garfield becomes funny.

Not really in the way Jim Davis intended.

Erk. My journey to work took a 1.5 hours longer than it should've done, so I got into the office at 11am feeling like I wanted to go straight back home. Even a latte failed to help, and that's bad.

The Ideal Home Show website has sinister hammers that swivel to follow you round the page when you move your mouse. Looking at you. This is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.

Underwear

It's too early. I've had a lot of vivid dreams recently, of a strangely symbolic type. You know, eagles eating frogs and that kind of thing. I woke up at 5am thinking I'd gone blind in one eye, when actually it was shut and I was still half asleep, and then I couldn't get back to sleep at all. Work is going to be fun today.

I stay sane by looking at tasteful and stylish men's underwear on websites like this one: hunkwear... not very safe for work, in case you were wondering.

Day 14

Which I think is why [livejournal.com profile] emungere wrote me the beginning of a poem about Tennyson mysteriously catapulted through time only to fall in love with Johnny Weir.

I don't know either! No, I do. It's because I said Tennyson was hot when he was younger. With fabulous hair! I saw this portrait of him in the National Gallery, you see, and things went from there.

She is a strange and wonderful person. ♥

Gay Blades - gay ice skating smut: "... he wows them with his skating - and his spandex."

Recently I have percieved a lack in my life - of gay ice skating AUs. *looks at [livejournal.com profile] emungere* What?

Ice skating costumes are exhilaratingly bad. I know because I've spent the last few days trawling online and googling 'male figure skaters', which I'm putting down to stress relief, and really you all need to see the one with the torn red mesh, one sleeve and multiple fuzzy arm bands.

That is all.

ETA: I lie. Half naked Johnny Weir, not particularly worksafe, and sadly he is not wearing the costume I mentioned above. That one needs more tracking down.

[livejournal.com profile] xsmoonshine killed me with cute today: Sanzo, charmed. There's Jeep and Sanzo bonding over mayo-ramen!

Thanks for the postcard, [livejournal.com profile] lisa_bee. The tag-playing wombat sounds the most adorablest thing ever.

[livejournal.com profile] yasuragi has some highly intriguing Saiyuki scans up from the next month's Zero Sum, here.  I say, ooh!

[livejournal.com profile] xsmoonshine asked me five questions. See answers below!

Questions, questions )

In the spirit of the meme, if you'd like me to probe your innermost thoughts and desires,  leave me a comment.

Samurai Champloo fans, there's a good doujinshi over on [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_daily, parts 1 and 2 and another part to come. Heh. As it were.

Tried to work, got terminally distracted. Things on my flist today that made me cackle and flap my arms:

[livejournal.com profile] bethbethbeth has a very interesting poll about fannish shared culture

[livejournal.com profile] xsmoonshine wrote me a really excellent Nii Jienyi drabble

[livejournal.com profile] ajhalluk on why Pope Benedict XVI is not a fan of JK Rowling

Also spotted a classic mistake somewhere: vinaigrette instead of vignette. Bless.

Oh. My. God. Billy Boyd singing Britney. Oh baby, baby, how was I supposed to know?. It maketh me lie down and dissolve into a puddle of goo. [ETA: fixed the link, it works now. Oops!]

Have been perusing your snippet requests and am thinking, at least there are no cream buns or seagulls involved.

Also, a quick rec: Better Than One Tim Roth/Gary Oldman RPS, PG by [livejournal.com profile] cimorene111. I loved the way Cimorene got into the character's heads. It's fairly short, but packed full of ideas, and quite complex.
