Stripper Gojyo part 2

In an attempt to be more thrusting and dynamic about all our unfinished porn, [livejournal.com profile] emungere has made a poll on her journal about what we should finish first.

And next, more meme!

My favorite story of this year: Ne me quitte pas, which came together after languishing for more than a year. I think I love it most for managing to finish it and also for the idea of what happens to Sanzo's sutra.

My best story this year: Solitary, a Saiyuki prison AU. At least because there's a lot of potential in it and I never did have time to expand on the various elements in it, like Wolf Boy and what happens to the Pedo Priest. It just felt-- really rich and satisfying to write and I hope it came across like that.

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Misunderstood. Not many people seemed to read it, or maybe they did but just didn't like it. Making Hakkai and Gojyo fight like that washuge amounts of fun, because they got really nasty. There are such a lot of hurtful things they could say to each other.

Most fun story: to read, or to write? I'm picking to write, and I think that would be Soapland. There is just something about the idea of Hakkai working as a combined human sponge and sex toy that tickles me so much. A lot. Also bringing an unhappy Gojyo into contact with him was even more fun, and having reincarnated Tenpou pick the name Cho Hakkai for himself - maybe that worked or maybe it didn't but I made me scrunch up in pleasure.

Most sexy story: This is so hard to judge, so I love the idea of you telling me rather than the other way round, so I am stealing this poll idea from [livejournal.com profile] flambeau

[Poll #902270]

Story with single sexiest moment: For me, Bad Mr Cho: "He has punished Gojyo before now for cursing, punished him hard, overthe desk, papers slipping everywhere and Mr Cho's palm wrapped over his mouth in case Gojyo cried out."

Hardest story to write: Adrift, the Ono/Tachibana/Chikage threesome. Firstly struggling to get their characters right, then getting them to have a threesome. Or, rather, getting Tachibana to actually agree to it. My tactic was to have Tachibana never explicitly think about what he was doing: he was just being pulled along, letting it happen, because if he thought about it too closely, or at all, he would stop.

"Holy crap, that's *wrong*, even for you" story: I don't know! Nothing seems wrong at the time. Except Bad Mr Cho.

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Ne me quitte pas - how Gojyo and Hakkai need each other and how much of a reflection of each other they are. That idea was integral to the story and I have [livejournal.com profile] new_kate to thank for putting me on that track.

Biggest disappointment: that I wasn't able to sort out the Janitor Hakkai story. Or that I had learnt to come up with halfway decent and interesting metaphors.

Biggest surprise: that stripper!Gojyo was so popular.

Most unintentionally telling story: Ahahaha. I think I leave this one to you again, don't I?
