I'm feeling the need for some writing inspiration at the moment. Leave me a prompt and I'll write something (of some length or other) to fit it. First ten prompts, please.

Fandoms are listed in my interests, but at the moment they are tennis and Saiyuki... or any other fandom you think you might be able to prod me into writing. I'm feeling semi-adventurous. A bit.

Also, it's the last day for Fedal fridge magnet fic entries. I spent most of yesterday rearranging words and scratching my head. It's such a good challenge - come and play.

I am far from being in the first ten prompts, so by all means ignore this - but the combination of tennis and Saiyuki got me thinking. And I did want to share the thought of this AU with you, without any expectations, because I think you'll appreciate it. *g*

Cho Hakkai is a single-minded, driven, anti-social and widely feared rising tennis star, who seems to have come from nowhere and is now annihilating his opponents on the courts. Sha Gojyo is a sports reporter who drinks a bit too much and laughs a bit too loud, and never talks about his own once-bright tennis career, aborted abruptly years back for reasons nobody ever quite understood.

Nobody has seen Gojyo with a racket in his hand since that day when he threw the final match at Wimbledon and walked off the court. But now, Japan's new rising star challenges him to a public match...

(It works so well in my head, somehow. But that may just be the very late hour. *g* I should get some sleep...)

It would work excellently well the other way around, too, with some adjustments... but Hakkai would be scarier as the driven tennis star, and Gojyo would be better at the nonchalantly cheerful facade. :-)

Still haven't had enough sleep myself, but I also still like this! :-) I don't think I'll be taking on another writing project anytime soon, though, considering what I have on my plate already...

Glad you like the idea, though. :-)
