[livejournal.com profile] daegaer pointed out this useful site - monthly info, which is free and sends you reminders when your period is due. After three decades, I've never managed to keep track of my period, except in the vaguest of ways, usually through recognising the sudden drenching in pre-menstrual tension. I think this could be really useful.

eta: [livejournal.com profile] cicer, I got your card at the weekend, thanks :)

son of eta: it had nothing to do with pre menstrual tension!

i read your post but was terribly distracted by your icon, since i am a fan of TOS.
and then you post title of monthlies

my mind suddenly went to the the book
the cry of the onlies.
unfortunately my memory cells are terribly confused
- i will google this after i post - and cant remember if this was about the warrior race that got systematically eradicated (solved by uhura with her perfect pitch) or the one where the creatures are horrible looking (well, the description was horribly - which was a translucent membrane and the innards are showing) and awfully smelling.

Sulu played bad cop in that one.

i digressed from the actual contents of your post but i had to tell you what your post did to my mind.

but i did understand your post.

The brain can take us to some strange places, even to somewhere where Mr Sulu plays bad cop!

Gosh, if I were still HAVING PERIODS (finally made it through menopause, yay!) I'd totally use that site. ;)

Right! It looks really useful, for those of us still struggling on with them.

That is possibly the most useful website ever. I have never been able to keep track of my periods and I've tried so many different ways.

I know, right? Why is it so hard? And yet it always is. I hope it helps.

Ooo, useful site, thank you! I really need to be tracking things better, what with the ongoing attempts to tame the Ovary of d00m...

Oh, Ovaries of Doom, why must you bother us so?

It looks so useful, especially with being able to make notes on specific days, like for moods and things. I'm really eager to see if it makes life easier.

I am glad my card was not PMS-inducing! XD Yay, it survived the cross-Atlantic trip! I'm always afraid my overseas cards won' make it, for some reason. I think I don't have enough faith in the postal system.

That site is awseome useful. Fortunately, my monthly delights have finally settled into a pretty regular 28-day pattern, so I don't have to struggle as much to predict them, but somehow I always forget when they're due, and only remember when I find myself inexplicably exhausted, cranky, and craving fried foods. Yay for internet-period-tracking!

I had to go look at the site even though being on the pill informs me when Things Will Be Happening. Ha! I love living in the IT age, it's so wonderful, yet slightly insane.

It's ideal! Who can be bothered to track their period? Let the machines do it for us.
