In other news, thank you for my card and tea, cicer. They're lovely. Also, daegaer, I got your parcel, thank you. Yay a huge amount of vintage melamine! I squee! The plates are very cool. I am also lucky because emungere sent me home made cookies and an inspirational book about the Japanese sex industry. Apparently you can have sex in a tub of green gel if you want, for a reasonable fee. And I have glow sticks and glittery eyeshadow. I got your card too, flerrochard, and thank you so much for the stealth glitter. Heeee. I missed it this year, so was super excited when it showered all over my toes. :D

In other other news, I have a new laptop. It is small and light (1.7kg), perfect for commuting unlike my other one and only £599, reduced by £300. It's a John Lewis ex-display model, still with a two year warranty and I love it even if Windows Vista is slightly doing my head in.

In yet more consuming news, I have new flat black Mary Jane shoes for £4.97 in the sales, purple tights, brown tights, a grey dress with silver stitching from Monsoon and a grass green silk short smock top also from Monsoon.

Oh, I love Monsoon. It's one of the very few places I actually enjoy looking at clothes, and its absence from the US sucks :-(

New laptops are love. I'm actually in the process of choosing a new one, myself. A little Xmas gift to myself. :D Best time to do it, with all the sales. :)

My job let me borrow one for a few days so I could do some work at home, and while I dared not use it for, um, other purposes it was still such a heavenly feeling.

Ye, they're really so useful to have. I commute a lot, so it's important to me to have one so I can make best use of my time. And yes, I wanted to buy my own rather than risk leaving porn on the work one. :D

Windows Vista is a PITA. I wonder why Microsoft gets you all trained up and used to doing things one way on one platform, and then switches things all around for no good reason on the next. It is very annoying.

Yes, it is odd. It's like it wants to be like Mac but doesn't quite dare. It's really hard finding my way around the file structure because windows explorer is just totally different arrrgh!

Oh my goodness, is this Pink Box? I received this for Christmas, too! (I put it on my Christmas list, but I wasn't sure I'd receive it. Luckily, my sister couldn't resist.)
