Tadpoles having a party - they are eating algae that's growing on the shell of the water snail.




A water snail taking in air, via the small hole you can see. There is a tadpole attached to the tip of its shell, chewing it.

The entire contents of my pond frighten me with their alien-ness. I can just about bear the tadpoles because they don't try and eat any other animals, onlyplants. So far.

Mr Chikage!! I love him so much. I might have to go and 'read' the doujinshi again.

They are very cute indeed. The pond is in my back garden - we dug it a couple of years ago and now it's full of all sorts of life. Lots of fun to watch on a sunny day.
