Pet Shop of Horrors

I like Pet Shop of Horrors, after reading vol 1. The art is sweet and very very cute. Count D is quite bizarre and seems to really enjoy doling out dangerous 'pets' and with them a list of instructions for care that involves at least one hard to keep, if not impossible, thing, like 'don't let anyone see your enormous new pet basilisk.' I think he's got a wicked sense of humour under his power bob.

Mmm, I'm a bit sick of the bad pet of the week storyline already, so that's good news. The killer rabbits were rather funny though.

The killer rabbits were love. And yeah, it gets better. Once Leon's younger brother shows up it's all uphill fast, and it has one of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen in a manga.

I read it all over the weekend! What a great ending. I think it means Leon went off to look for D and never came back.

I want to see the new series, but I'm a little worried it won't live up to the beauty of that ending.
