Peacemaker Kurogane manga is really good. Brilliant art and a complicated (all right, baffling at some points) story line, finely drawn characters and lots of historical detail.  Oh, and mysterious cat boys. It's a continuation of another series, which makes for a feeling of being plunged in at the deep end.  I had to read both volumes twice to properly understand who was who and what exactly was happening, but I was glad I did. It treads a very careful line between lightheartedness and intense drama, from what I've seen so far.

I'm going to see if I can pick up vol 3 in London on Wednesday, where I shall be attending Pulse 2005 at Earls Court.  No, it's not a lentil convention, but an interiors accessories show.  But yes, Peacemaker Kurogane--I recommend it.

Ooh, Peacemaker Kurogane is just lovely. The anime is fun, but the manga is brilliant. And there's a gorgeous artbook for the manga--I've uploaded a couple scans from it here (http://photobucket.com/albums/v55/whimsy_chan/miscellaneous%20miscellany/?action=view&current=susumu01a.jpg). It's one of my favorite artbooks (and not just because I damn near had to sell my soul to get it).

I would definitely recommend downloading MangaCity's scanlations of Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker. Everything will make so much more sense once you've read it.

I will defintely read the first series, because I'm still slightly confused by it all. That's for linking to those scans - prettiness!
