I bought Lawrence of Arabia this morning from HMV- it was to cheer me up after 1)forgetting my travel pass, 2)missing my train and then 3)nearly being run down by a bus. Adrenalin surges aren't good at 7.15am. Then I spent an hour on the train reading about how to make tables in HTML. Guhhh.

He does flirt with him, doesn't he? I'm glad you think so, I thought I was imagining it. 'He'll do it for his pleasure,' indeed! It's very clear that Lawrence is seducing Auda in that scene. Maybe not in a physical way, altough that could certainly be read in to it, but with his confidence and his almost arrogance. I think that confidence is what makes Ali leaning over his shoulder to join in such a compelling image-- it's like they are ready to take on the world together.
