I just love using my portal (see previous entry for that). You can choose to have random lj's displayed- up to ten at a time, and I've taken to visiting them all. It's surprising that at least 50% of them aren't kept up, or are empty, or have been deleted. Was delighted to stumble upon Jstkdn. I love having this window into other people's lives. Sometimes I get a bit boggled by lj's, because I'm never quite sure how to look at it. I mean, it's a diary, but other people read it, so it's public, but then I've never met any of you who are reading this, so it is like it's private again. Hmmm. Moving swiftly on...

Big relief at prospect of long weekend- no work. Brian has been giving off mega-watts of tension all week at work and I couldn't bear to hear his voice for one more minute. I've never known anyone to have so many grievances against the world in general, and everything is one big power struggle for him. He was annoying me so much I couldn't stand to look at him by today, much less speak. I'm glad he's leaving.

Not a lot of HP stuff on list that appeals to me, or not enought to feed my addiction, so The West Wing will have to keep me going. Read a v. good Josh/Sam story last night by SN Kastle, called 'Chance to make it Real'. Not a great title, but once past that it's got sparky dialogue, good jokes, sex, UST. Gosh, I'm eloquent tonight. Writing recs is like pulling teeth at the best of times, and even worse when you're feeling distinctly braindead.

Gemma is on her way. To the Kukri for Indian meal, booze and vast amounts of blathering. Alright!

Shall I bother running tonight? Okay then, you're right, I won't.
