Week in the life, day one
Mar. 4th, 2013 10:31 pmSo, via
matildafilch, here's day one of my photo journal for this week
Monday
It was sunny, so in the morning I took my portable studio into the garden to take some images of jewellery. I made the mini studio using foamboard and tracing paper - good for anything that needs a bright white background.

While I was there I took time to admire our collapsed wall, which the landlord is doing diddly squat about. We piled up the bricks ourselves, where they were spread like a tsunami all over the garden. They didn't even bother to send someone round to do that.

Then I went back inside to get on with making my custom map jewellery orders. This involved finding obscure towns on a truly gigantic map of California. You can see my workroom is organised chaos. I'm hopeful that in the new place I can start afresh with a custom designed room that is 100% functional rather than following the concept of 'things stuffed under the table'.

This little baby is my new sinus rinsing kit! I went out at lunchtime to pick it up from Boots, and here I am spreading it out to work out how to use it. It turns out you shove it up your nose and squeeze the bottle. I've got a neti pot but apparently these squeezy bottles are more effective.

Going to the shop to fetch distilled water for the nose rinsing kit. I pass the Victorian school, which is glowing in the sunlight, and arrive at the Butts Convenience Store in all its majesty

Finally, before I made dinner, I practised my guitar for half an hour. That is my guitar-playing chair:
