I've been lurking round the yuletide nominations page all afternoon. So far I've picked:

Tennis RPF (Fedal) - man I wish Fedal was a bigger fandom. *Criez*

Melusine - scary! But what the hell. I want to try writing Felix/Mildmay. If not for Yuletide then I have always got [livejournal.com profile] tarteaucitron's hairbrushing prompt to fall back on, by which I mean actually write.

The Bone Key - I love Monette's creepy museum, which seems a character all but itself-- except I've forgotten what it's called-- and also Kyle Murchison Booth.

Merlin RPF - is this still a small obscure fandom? I kind of have a hankering to write it.

Others-- um, I just don't know which other two obscure fandoms to pick. I don't really want to write Mary Renault, which I did do one year. Sherlock Holmes is kind of tempting. Hmm hmm. I just don't know!

Melusine~! I can't begin to describe how excited the thought of reading a Melusine fic by you makes me. My hands are all sweaty now, oh gods... *flais*

I've yet to read Corambis, because I want to buy it in paperback, which won't be out till next March. Aah, will it be March soon if I wish really hard? I want to read iiit! The Melusine books have the ability to reduce me to a giggling teen, which is kind of nice. Oh Mildmay!

(Ahem. Sorry about this random flail. ^^' Happy writings!)

Ahaha, thank you. :D Random flailing about Melusine is always welcome here. But it's a bit of a scary thought writing them though. They are so amazingly written. Gah, I love them so much. *steels self*

Would it poss to get a secondhand hardback Corambis at all? I don't know how often it turns up secondhand, but judging by the impossibility of getting a copy of the Virtue, not very often?

I don't think any Finnish second hand book shops carry copies of it, since reading English books is still relatively uncommon here. And getting one online would mean I'd pay about double the price of the paperback and still have to wait for the book for some time. It's sadly just not worth the trouble, considering I'd still buy the paperback eventually.

Anyway, I probably won't even have time to read it before the end of spring. My Japanese studies are really out to kill me this year.

So if you write something post-Corambis, I'm going to despair. :D
