She was immediately carted off to be sold for two snowmobiles and a year's supply of food, and ended up leaning against a wall being gnawed by stray dogs.

that is all at once cool and harrowing. Poor poor baby mammoth! I kind of wish she had been preeserved just as well once she WAS found!!!

There's something so sad about her dying at such a young age and coming back into the world perfectly preserved such a long time later. Weird is a good word for it.

I love how it looks so cute still. How is that even possible? Baby mammoths!

I read it was found back in 2007 and left lying about for a good few months before someone came along to look after it.
