Writing - why so hard? Related to the beating of the head against the keyboard, if you could give one piece of advice on how to write sex scenes that are fresh and interesting, what would it be?

I think there's a lot to be said for looking at how other people achieve a certain mood, then looking at how you can do something to achieve that effect but in your own voice. Since more than one person has said they do this, and I do it too, I'm wondering if it's something a hell of a lot of writers do?
