I've posted half my cards and the others should go out today, when I find my stamps. Yo, [livejournal.com profile] kanzenhanzai! I got my card with the naked Roger and Rafa inside! It was awesome, thank you. [livejournal.com profile] puddingcat, [livejournal.com profile] kispexi2 and [livejournal.com profile] moshesque, I got yours too, thank you! There were no hot naked men inside, but I can forgive you for that. This time.

Other news: short review of Bentley Little's 'The Walking': IT'S SHOW NOT TELL, BENTLEY. Why is the horror genre so disappointing? It makes me sad. Also, he is called Bentley and that really set up my expectations. This book had some intriguing blurb on it, and then I read it, and... not so great. There was a good central idea, spooky, but everything else was flat.

I peevishly abandoned it on the train, swapping it for a book that was lying on an empty seat. Perhaps left by some other similarly cheesed-off reader? The book was called 'Of Merchants and Heroes' by Paul Walters, a historical novel set in the third century BC and it's about a rather unhappy fellow called Marcus. The style reminds me a lot of Renault, but that's no bad thing for me.

There's a new challenge up on [livejournal.com profile] saiyuki_time. I really want to try and write something for it this week.

I miss tennis. A lot. Just fyi.

Health news: My back is better. Regarding the mystery pains, I'm on another cavalcade of antibiotics and I have another scan on Monday, so hopefully something positive will happen. I'm beginning to feel like a walking pill box, and also like this illness will never stop. Going to the gym on Wednesday maybe wasn't the best idea. Neither was having a period. Ow. My plan is to do not much at all this weekend and keep warm and rest. Maybe make muffins.

:-) One day, I hope the drawing may have evolved enough that I can draw naked men. Mind you, they'll be Goku and Sanzo, so perhaps you'd prefer the traditional fare after all? *g*

*hugs for the health woes* - I hope they get resolved soon and they give you something you can work with. Not knowing is an awful thing.

*hands over hot water bottle to cuddle up to* - Thinking of you!

Yay, cards! (I'm a little surprised at how fast some of you forn'ers got my cards. 3 days to New Zealand? Unheard of!)

That is an excellent weekend plan, I hope it helps ♥

I'm sorry, but I'm keeping all the hot naked men to myself this year, because I am greedy! *g*

I'm glad the card arrived to you safely. :)

I got your card yesterday, full of hot pink stealth confetti!

I recorded the Wimbledon rebroadcast. I will curl up on the couch with hot tea and ginger cookies and watch it for it.

Yes... and fic. There hasn't been much posted since the TMC games. I've gone so far as to look for fic with Roger/anyone. I do a wordfind and substitute anyone with Rafa's name. It's helping to fill the void. XD

Hehehe! Well, naked Sanzo and Gojyo is probably more my cup of tea, it's true. But anything that helps inspire you, my dear, is a good thing in my view!

Bad lj, logging you out.

Soon there will be tennis. Much as your football posts keeps me going with a supply of pretty men, I can't wait till Roger and Rafa get back on court and start being nice to each other.

Oh my god, efficient posting or what? 3 days is amazing.

I think my plan to not leave the house at all was a good one. :D

Yay stealth confetti! Although not technically stealth if you knew it was coming. :D

Ohhh, Wimbledon. Watching that match was one of the defining moments of my year. I think I fell in love with tennis then, properly. Before that, it'd really been all about watching Rafa be hot. Did you watch it all?

I know, the fic drought is really painful. I've got various things on the go and so does [livejournal.com profile] emungere, and also there should be the Fedal christmas fic exchange to look forward to. But. I need more!!

Yes, the whole thing. The tennis was fantastic, but I'll admit that what I was really waiting for was when that final shot was made and watching Rafa drop to the ground. Rafa rolling around, jumping up into the stands to hug his family and the royal family, Roger looking so devastated, all the touches between the two of them. ~ sigh ~

Oh, god, that moment was incredible. I remember feeling so happy for him, and also thinking that both he and Roger looked about to pass out! And the wonderful things they said about each other at the end, and the touching. Gah. I want to watch it again. Did you see the vid on youtube of where JMac is interviewing Roger right afterwards? It always gets me how Rafa is lurking in the background looking so worried that Roger is sad.

Yes, actually the Wimbledon rebroadcast featured JMac as the announcer. That interview was included at the end. I don't really care for JMac, but he was very good. And the Roger hug he gave... well, that just seemed to be really from the heart.
