Minor ops

I had a sebaceous cyst removed from my head this morning, so that was exciting. The doctor called me a 'good girl' twice, and said I was very brave. I wanted to point out I was 38 and not 12, but actually it was kind of comforting.

He numbed my head and then there was a lot of pressure and muttering about needing the non-toothed scissors, which the nurse did not possess. Then more muttering and more pressure, and then he said "Haha! I got it all." Then the weird dragging dead feeling of having numb skin stitched. That was the worst thing.

Now I have vast dressing stuck to the side of my head, and a new bald patch.

After that, Mr Lux walked me home in case I had a funny turn, and left me on the sofa watching the Olympics.

Commentator quote of the day, from the men's high bar finals: "That man deserves a biscuit!"

My dermo told me to alternate with Neosporin and, if I remember correctly, Biosporin, under the bandage, for that, when I had one removed from elsewhere. Healed right up.

Hope you're feeling fine.

Thanks for the tip. I took ibuprofen in the end it helped, and things seem to be healing nicely.
