Anyone fancy a game of Mornington Crescent?

Trondheim rules, but with the 1976 Bovington paradox, which I think we'll find adds quite a bit of excitement to the game!

I'll go first. I'm going to play, hmm: Colindale

Oh, I love the Bovington paradox!

And I therefore invoke it by saying - Monument.

Oooh! Then I can use a McKenzie Switch to Euston Square (third Thursday in the month! I *never* remember that one in time *is smug*).

Kings Cross. Because an alarm has just gone off in the background so this is the only allowable station.

Third Thursday. Yes, you're right!

Okay, if you're playing that and it's also the second Thursday before the end of the month I think I can safely say Wapping.

Before you question it, this is taking into account Blair's Seventh Purge of the original Trondheim rules.

Damn, well played.

In that case I'm going to have use Von Stamm's Diversion to Tower Hamlets.

Oh dear! You didn't say this was a Championship-standard game. I'm going to have to invoke Hawking's paradoxical rule for beginners (thank you google) and detour via Sydney's Martin Place.

It's a fair move -- though it took a bit of working out! Nicely done.

Obviously, there's pretty much only one choice, so: Westminster.

Ah, I see! Interesting.

I'm going to have to force the issue. Uxbridge, using Mittelstein's Wormhole.

May I cut in?

Seeing as I'm in a south facing position today I shall venture Parsons green

Aha, yes. I think you'll find that, while this is covered in the Hawkings paradoxical rule for beginners, it's actually only allowable on Fridays if there is a light drizzle.

Hmmmmm. Well, if you're quite sure about that. Bond St.

aah temaris will need to be careful here.

Well, I'm on the second floor, so that's only Victoria line... I'm going to go with Blackhorse Road. :D

If I may join in: Blackfriars, using the 1996 Yaxley Amendment for reversible positioning.

You're quite right! I think though, considering it *is* under the Trondheim Rules, I might venture Great Portland Street. The left handed chicane is quite legal there.

Actually...

I think you'll find that the variant is allowed under the Inverse Troxley-Banes Manouvre used in conjunction with the Aldus-Hawkings slide. This negates the light drizzle, especially when using the Frasure-Euston definition of "Friday". However, invoking this manouvre bans the player from selecting any American stations for the next 50.428 years.

And I shall execute a rather neat little overhand spoon section to get to Chalk Farm.

Kentish Town. (Oh, come on. Did you expect me to follow a Yaxley Blackfriars with anything else?)

Are you using the Kettering double-toed pincer manoeuvre? It looks like it, so, seeing as it's October, I'm playing Oxford Circus!

Second floor... I'm on the fifth, and I think that gives me Lancaster Gate.

Ha! It may be October but! It's October in the year preceding a leap year, which means I can invoke Ashbury's Conclave of 1833 and go straight to MORNINGTON CRESCENT!
