It's like trick or treat, only not really. Leave a comment and I will post something for you, ie, fic snippet, a song, a picture, a poem or something else random that I think of.

note: tricks and treats will vary according entirely to my whim

ps - comments will be answered when I get home a little later

Have this tiny ficlet wot I wrote at least two years ago and then forgot about...

***

Gojyo was unbelievably drunk.

'How c'n you still be sober?'

'I'm not,' said Hakkai, propping him up, leaning in closer than he needed to.

'I really, really wanna talk to you,' he said, pushing aside Hakkai's protest, dragging him over to the bed, head down. Hakkai was laughing and the room spun; then they were sprawling face to face and Hakkai stopped laughing and his eyes went round and very dark. Gojyo sobered a little.

'What do you want to talk about, Gojyo?' he said, very softly.

Suddenly Gojyo couldn't stop the words coming out of his mouth. He didn't ask what it was like to do it with your sister. He wasn't that crass, nor was he that drunk. But he thought of Jien and his mother and what they did together, making the bed creak and bang against the wall. He wanted to tell Hakkai, wanted to tell him how all the screwing around couldn't wipe out those memories. His jaw ached from holding the words in.

'My mum and my brother used to fuck each other,' he whispered. It sounded bad. He'd spoken the words out loud.

Hakkai let go of his hand and pulled away. 'You think I'll understand because of Kanan?' His voice was hard.

'No. Yes.' Gojyo swallowed, his face heating. He was an idiot. 'I've never told anyone before.' He hadn't meant to say that. Hadn't meant for it to sound like Hakkai was the one. But it did, and he was. 'I'm sorry, sorry… '

'Gojyo… '

Hakkai reached out and caught his hand, twisting his fingers through Gojyo's as though it was normal for them to hold hands, lying drunk together on Hakkai's bed. 'I'm glad you told me.'

'I'll regret it in the morning,' he said.

'No, you won't.'

Gojyo believed him.

Oh thank you! That was wonderfully broken, dark and strangely poignant. The fact that Gojyo shares his secrets with Hakkai while Hakkai shares his rare honesty in turn is just lovely. *goes to reread a time or five*
