Squeaking quietly with happiness at
jonathancarroll's latest post, I decided I needed a section in my lj memories specially for him, when I realised I had one, having thought exactly this same thing about his last post.
Wouldn't it be interesting if somehow we could see each other's life feedback?... dentists, prospective dates, business associates, even people you buy bread from in stores...
I can't decide if that is a really good idea or a really bad one, because I suppose I might miss the element of surprise in life. Having said that, feedback on dentists and doctors would be amazingly useful. And you'd hope your ex's left generally positive comments. "I got all my CDs back-- in the end." "Mostly faithful." "Never listened to my thoughts on French philosophy." Anyway...
Also,
emungere, I got the cookies and the Nero Wolfe! I started the Black Orchid on the train in and instantly fell in love with Archie - I love the way almost everything he has said so far is to either make Nero jealous or to wind him up. Thank you so much! *squishes inna hug*

The cookies were divine - did you put crack in them or something, because I have eaten four today and still want to finish the whole lot. I am not kidding. I even sacrificed a few to my co workers and they said so too. So you made our little office very happy today! Particularly noted was the high chocolate to cookie dough ratio.

The version you'll want to see when you get around to it stars Maury Chaykin and Timothy Hutton, who do Wolfe and Archie justice.

Date: 2006-10-01 10:45 pm (UTC)There's a TV series of everything, but this one's good. I can point you at a few good authors, too, when you like.

Date: 2006-10-05 03:06 am (UTC)Ok, the archive is Milk and Orchids, (http://www.e-fic.com/milkandorchids/index2.html) and the two best authors, IMO, are Parhelion and Nancy. Unless you prefer Archie/Cohen, in which case I can't help you. ^,~
