Squee and Antique Bakery vol 4
Jul. 28th, 2006 12:56 amIt seems like ages since I posted about anything but frogs.
Number one question to ask
daegaer while drunk: 'so, where does god come from, then?' The answer is great! If I only could remember it now. She should write a book about that.
yami_tai and her partner came over for dinner last night and I did not forget to put the goats cheese in the goats cheese bake. Hurray! It was a very lovely evening indeed.
We are going to York tomorrow for the squee fest. I'm looking forward to it, although am not looking forward to the journey much. Virgin trains and hot sunny days do not go well together. I have packed, if by packing I mean having some clothing scattered about near my bag.
In other news, I read Antique Bakery volume 4 omg. *clutches it to breast* There are no words for how much I love this series.
Tachibana suffers so much arrrgghh!! Poor man, and even Chikage leaves him, even if it is to just move in next door. Everyone finds a little bit of happiness, which I am pleased about, even if it just acceptance and that things from the past can really never be fixed. And did it seem to anyone else that at the end it is like Ono and Tachibana are having a strange little honeymoon together... starting again. I think Ono only loved the idea of Tachibana, back in school - he didn't know him at all. He knows Tachibana far better now than he ever did then, but isn't in love with him now, it seems like.
I wonder how much Ono's demonic charm actually prevents him from getting close to people. He always seems to be holding something back. He doesn't fall in love with people - maybe he is never given the chance to fall in love on his own terms. Tachibana could be the person he could do that with, maybe. Or is that just wishful thinking? But it does seem like Tachibana has been fixated on Ono for years-- and I think tells him as much, too. 'It wasn't what I wanted to say'. Oh, Tachibana.

Date: 2006-08-01 07:31 pm (UTC)I am! I'm surrounded by amazing scenery and I'm really enjoying the job... it's a shame it's a temporary contract.
That maze looks scary!
I can tell you that it is even scarier when you are lost inside!
