Tadpoles update

The tadpoles in the pond are getting huge, and there are still lots of them, probably about 100. Here's one chomping algae:



The green flower is about the size of my thumbnail...

I'm aware of how weird this is going to make me sound but I love how when you pick tadpoles up they burrow into the cracks in your fingers and they feel all soft and velvety ^_^!

So your pond is going to be a very noisy place in another month or so and was a very noisy place just a few weeks back? *laughs* I'll always remember tadpoles as the first animals my mother said I couldn't keep no matter how many I brought home in styrofome cups.

Strangely, we never hear the frogs calling to each other, which is a shame. Maybe the huge tadpole influx will change things though. I like the idea of listening to frogs of an evening.

Aww. I love tadpoles. The ponds near my house are always full of them this time of year. I used to take jars of them home until my mother would make me release them. ^^;
