Look, Blackwells of Reading, I have my copy of Saiyuki Reload 3, on time, which I ordered on the INTERNET and not from your shop, because, even though your shop is 15 minutes away from my house, you will not have it on your shelves for two months. 'Our supplier is always two months behind with everything. Tra la la!'

*breathes*

Anyway, apart from that I squee! Sanzo's naked bottom! And of course I appreciated everything on a deeply intellectual level. Of course.

On top of that I managed to forge ahead with the Remix story to, ooh, 300 words. At least it's a start.

Sanzo's naked bottom is highly intellectual!

...In some way. I'm sure.

A friend and I did the same thing with our local manga store, and between the two of us we were getting something like 40 titles! Apparently the distributors in Hawaii were sitting on shipments until they could send a few together, thereby delaying our precious fix by weeks, if not months. Just not good enough.

But I've been buying the Chuang Yi eng editions of Reload, so I'm up to v5 ^^

I must really sort out how to order those. The last time I looked they didn't do online ordering and actually required snail-mail, which scared me.

Thanks - but I'm in Australia, and flying over would be slightly too fanatical. :)

Ordering via the net would ne easier.

I couldn't help cackling at one translation change between my fanlation and Tokyopop. In the fanlation the monks say that if "sitting pretty" is all he wants to do, they can leave him be, while the Tokyopop monks say he makes a nice ornament. Tokyopop monks are pervy Sanzo fanciers apparently, while the fans are less pervy? *g*

Hee! 'He's quite the ornament.' Yes, I liked that myself. Although in that same scene they changed 'even sanzos can be moody teenagers' to 'he's still young', which was a shame. Because Sanzo is *such* a moody teenager.

Ha! Moody child, moody teenager, moody adult.... I liked that Minekura didn't make his Great Tragedy the whole reason for why he's such a bitch.

Your fanlation had more fun with it than mine there, because mine was "I guess even Sanzos are not immune to adolescent mood swings! ."

Hee! Even if it was more of a nervous breakdown than a mood swing. Poor man. In fact I liked very much how that 'ornament' comment in the same panel as his dead eyes threw his misery into sharp relief.

And, yes, I like how he's just naturally stroppy, true even when he was a kid.

Monk: "And here's our famous jade Buddha statue...."
Guest: "I've come to see your blond Sanzo."
Monk: "Ah, yes, very rare, very exotic. Pretty too, if you're into that sort of thing."
Guest: "I see! Can you get him to turn around?"
Monk: "Sorry, he just sits there, much like the Buddha statue does. Let's continue our tour."
Sanzo, a a minute after they've left and he's finally processed: "...the hell?"
