I know! With the one slitty youkai pupil and the one normal one. That must mean his bad eye is a fake one, right? And that drawing of the back of his neck... guh.
Yeah, in mangaverse, that eye is a glass one... which makes less than no sense with wearing the monocle on that eye, and needing glasses when he doesn't have the monocle... *shrug*
Eh, I always thought Hakkai wore the monacle to hide the damage, as if he's a little self conscious not about his looks, but about the reasons behind them, the same way Gojyo tends to wear his hair so it hides his scars. With things that are that obvious, someone always asks, and then you have to explain, and if it's something you'd rather not talk about...
Can you tell what it is that Hakkai is seeing as the limiters come off? Because that's Gojyo in his tee, and he's quite clearly still wearing his jacket in the other cells.
I can only think that Hakkai is seeing/remembering another time he took his limters off? Which would be, when? When he rescued Gojyo that time?
Whatever it is, I find it deeply satisfying that Gojyo is the one he is looking at as he changes, as if he's fixing his sight on him to anchor his sense of self or something. Like, that's Gojyo, the person I care about, who cares about me and that makes me Hakkai and I'm not going to forget that and here we gooooo...
You have to have them friended and also put a specific interest in your lj interests - probably best to leave a comment too. Once they've friended you you'll see them.
