Major mail squee this week: cicer sent me a card and the sweetest fluffiest Gojyo/Hakkai ficlet ever. Thank you! I also got a card from toscas_kiss which was absolutely beautiful and looked hand drawn. jamjar sent me a card containing a Gojyo 'obscenity' postcard that will go nicely the wall next to my desk. And, and! I got a card and shiny origami snow bunny from Kiro and Tav! *clutches bunny* My cup runneth over.

Then came a card from one Cho Hakkai, which showed a picture of snow-throwing monks and contained a very pretty printed picture of them all. It read:

'Dear Louise, perhaps not surprisingly it was a bit difficult to find a Christmas card. The villages we've passed through tended to be either Buddhist or under the manipulation of youkai, making holiday cards a bit scarce. I do think this one at least suits the season. Surely a snow-throwing monnk is more Christmas-like than a gun-toting one. (Ah, I do believe Sanzo read that last part. Well, he can hardly disagree!).'

Thank you, dear fandom postcard benefactor - I love it.

In other news, oh thank you maintainer of yaoi_challenge for moving the deadline to 29 December. I was starting to panic there as my fic is still in bits on the kitchen table, almost literally. I now have a clear run at that one, the yuletide fic and the rest of the batsmut before the new year.

Also, Christmas shopping has been done successfully and I refuse to feel guilty for buying almost everyone alcohol. It's different types - what more can they ask?
