From some site, somewhere-- I've no idea at all what's going on in this cartoon detailing the early years of ridiculously cute baby Sanzo, but it's adorable, especially the one with the elephant.

Oh my. That's adorable! I especially like Sanzo's dinosaur costume when he's nibbling on his toy rabbit, and the picture of Koumyu cuddling him, with Sanzo's little baby hand in his hair.

The thought of Sanzo as a baby with Koumyou, who clearly doted on him at that age, is just so-- I dunno, heartbreaking, really. Have you seen the Saiyuki Burial arc? It's vol 3/4 of Saiyuki Reload, the next series of manga after the first one, and we get a lot of backstory for Sanzo and Koumyou, and how he became what he is. You should read it, I think. Shall I upload the zips for you?

I don't think I've read Burial - I read some random part of Reload, and got very confused! I'd love the zips, please! (Dear me, I see Baby!Sanzo in my future . . .)
