I left work early, thinking there might be chaos at Birmingham New Street, but it was okay, only the Euston trains were cancelled, and now I'm home. Reading station was packed with people, tv crews outside. Lots of people commute from here to London. I just watched Tony Blair's speech - he looked absolutley shattered. M is at work - we haven't heard from his sister yet. It's not too likely she was on any of those trains this morning. But. It'd be good to know for sure. ETA: she's okay.

The train home was so quiet, except for a connecting door that would swing open every few minutes with a loud bang, making everyone jump each time. Someone stole all the joy from life today.

I think I'll go swimming and then do some writing. Eat some soup, tidy up-- normal things. I feel so strange.

Thanks. I wasn't caught up in it at all, for which I'm very thankful. I could have been though because I go through London to King's Cross at that time of day fairly often. It's scary, but really they can just fuck off, is my stance.
