I left work early, thinking there might be chaos at Birmingham New Street, but it was okay, only the Euston trains were cancelled, and now I'm home. Reading station was packed with people, tv crews outside. Lots of people commute from here to London. I just watched Tony Blair's speech - he looked absolutley shattered. M is at work - we haven't heard from his sister yet. It's not too likely she was on any of those trains this morning. But. It'd be good to know for sure. ETA: she's okay.

The train home was so quiet, except for a connecting door that would swing open every few minutes with a loud bang, making everyone jump each time. Someone stole all the joy from life today.

I think I'll go swimming and then do some writing. Eat some soup, tidy up-- normal things. I feel so strange.

I was so glad to read your post this morning, to know you were ok. But I can imagine you feel strange, since I already do and am further away from things than you are. It's just so ... unfair that people are made to suffer like this and for what? Makes one wonder what the world is going to, even more than usual.
Hope you'll hear news from M's sister really soon. My thoughts are with you all. *hugs*
