Exactly. And all the stuff in vol 8 about him knowing things were wrong without Gojyo. He works on instinct more than thought, usually, but he's pretty much always right.

telophase I think cemented it for me, talking about that scene with Hakkai's lifeline. I could totally see Koumyou doing that.
