This is my 1000th post. Is that a lot for just over three years? I don't know. It feels appropriate that I'm posting smutty fanfic-- hey, it's one of my favourite things.

Layers

'Here you are,' said Hakkai, putting a plate down in front of Goku.

Goku stared at the cake. It had sprinkles and fake cream and was as big as his entire head.

'For me? Thanks!'

'Yeah,' said Sanzo. 'Now shut up and eat.'

Goku did and soon the eating was accompanied by a gentle lover's croon to his beautiful, sweet cake. Sanzo sighed.

'Distraction complete,' murmured Gojyo very quietly.

He sat back and stretched his body in one lithe movement, not stopping when his shirt pulled free of his waistband. Hakkai's gaze slid down his chest and fixed on the swell of his crotch.

'Bedtime already, is it?' said Hakkai.

'Yeah,' he agreed, and they left. Their fingers brushed together as they walked away.

Sanzo stubbed out his cigarette and watched Goku for a little while. 'Don't stay up late,' he warned, then stood and gathered up his cigarettes and lighter. 'And don't dare ask the waitress for any beer.'

'Mmm,' Goku said to the cake. 'G'night.'

They were ready for him when he got there. More than ready; it looked like they'd forgotten about him altogether. He shut the door behind him and watched for a moment. They wanted him-- it went unsaid, mostly because after the first time both of them were worried about getting shot, but Sanzo wasn't blind and he knew when the invitation was there. Mostly he didn't take it but sometimes he needed it. No, he corrected himself. He didn't need them. He didn't understand them, their closeness, but it drew him, sometimes. But this looked like something he wasn't supposed to see, something private and he wondered if he'd got it wrong.

They were both naked. Hakkai lay half-propped against the pillows. His long legs were carelessly spread and Gojyo knelt between them, his head moving in a teasing, lazy rhythm. Hakkai's gaze was rapt on his face and he was murmuring; quiet intimate sounds as his fingers wound tightly into Gojyo's hair, pulling him closer. 'I love your mouth, Gojyo. It fits me perfectly, doesn't it?' and even softer, 'I'm going to fuck you so hard... no, don't stop yet, take me deeper. That's right…' and his fingers swept through Gojyo's hair to cup the back of his head.

Gojyo made a soft noise and pressed closer, pushing Hakkai's thighs further apart with his hands. Sanzo swallowed in sympathy.

He was ready right then, just from the sight of them together; from the soft, obsessive lilt to Hakkai's voice and the lush sweep of Gojyo's neck and shoulders and buttocks, but he didn't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing that. Sweat formed in tiny beads on his upper lip and his forehead and he was very aware that he was staring at the place where Gojyo's soft lips formed an O around Hakkai, at the wet slide as Hakkai pushed in. Gojyo took it, then drew his head back so that Sanzo could see his tongue sweep out and lick the swollen head, circling it to trace the ridges underneath. Gojyo was good at sucking dick. Hardly a surprise, Sanzo thought and smiled nastily.

'Looks like you don't need me,' he said, wanting and yet not wanting them to notice him.

Hakkai looked up. His cheeks were flushed pink and his good eye glittered as he watched Sanzo move towards them. His mouth was open and his breath came in gasps. It was as though he took something else off along with his clothes.

'Maybe we don't,' Gojyo said, in a muffled voice. Hakkai arched his back and let out a little sigh as Gojyo pulled away and shook back his hair. Perhaps Gojyo felt it was too private for Sanzo to see too.

'I bought the damned cake,' Sanzo said, feeling ridiculous as he said it.

'Yeah, but it was Hakkai's idea. Although someone should just tell the kid the goddamn facts of life,' Gojyo muttered.

Hakkai looked smug, like he'd got everything he wanted. 'Well, I have another idea. Sanzo, please get undressed.'

He lay back on the bed and gently tugged Gojyo back between his legs. Sanzo watched them exchanging a glance, some private communication that he was left out of.

Gojyo didn't say anything, but his head dropped in what might have been acquiescence or might have just been to drape his hair over Hakkai's stomach. Dark red tendrils slid over his pale skin. Hakkai put his fingers in it and rubbed it over himself. Gojyo whispered something and damn it, they were distracted again and ignoring him. That was okay. He didn't care, but-- they looked good together. He blinked, realising that he was staring again.

'I don't think so,' Sanzo said. 'You're doing just fine between you. I think I'll just go and do something more stimulating, like reread the paper.'

They just looked at him and they knew they had him because now he was untying his sash and peeling his gloves and shirt off. Despite himself he did it the slow way he knew turned them both on. Two sets of eyes staring at him didn't do his heart rate any good, either. Finally he pulled down his jeans and underwear and stepped out of them.

'We do need you, Sanzo,' Hakkai said, sounding out of breath.

'But only if you shut the fuck up,' said Gojyo, but his smile was real and, terrifyingly, verging on the sweet. Sanzo preferred plain lust-- he knew how to deal with that. He scowled back.

'And if I don't?'

Gojyo's lips were wet and his hand moved on himself. 'I'll find something to keep you quiet.'

'You wish.'

Gojyo lunged then and hooked him onto the bed, where he tumbled down onto solid flesh. Gojyo wound his arms round Sanzo's neck and pulled him down for a kiss.

'I will,' Gojyo said between kisses that got wet and hard and messy. Sanzo could taste Hakkai there, he was sure.

If he was forced to admit it, which he never would, Gojyo was a beautiful man and looking at him spread out beneath him only made Sanzo harder. Gojyo's hands were everywhere, roaming over Sanzo's skin as if he wanted to cover every inch of it and somewhere, in between, were other, lighter touches; in his hair, between his thighs, kisses and a tongue running slowly down his spine until he arched his back and spread his legs and there was a sliver of wet heat stabbing into him, and again, opening him up and licking hot, wet and slippery inside him. He flushed at the sounds that came spilling out of his mouth into Gojyo's, but still he tilted his hips to get more of the touch and felt himself be spread wider.

'You want to get fucked tonight, don't you?' Gojyo whispered low and hot in his ear.

'Uhn,' Sanzo managed.

Gojyo kissed him again, grinding up in time with every touch of Hakkai’s tongue and now he took Sanzo’s hand and curled it hard around himself, growling when Sanzo squeezed his cock.

'Hakkai.' Sanzo forced his brain to work, hoping vaguely he didn't sound too desperate, 'who's going to fuck who?'

He could tell Gojyo was smiling beneath him. Hands gripped him possessively around his hips, but he wasn't sure whose. One final lick made him quiver and then cool air was blowing over him and Gojyo was kissing him harder than ever.

'Don't worry about that,' Hakkai breathed.

Slick fingers circled around his hole, just teasing. Fuck this. He wanted more. He pushed back onto Hakkai's fingers and got a low growl in return.

'Sanzo,' Gojyo said and arched up underneath him.

'Move forward,' Hakkai murmured in Sanzo's ear. He sounded intent, absorbed. Hands pushed him from behind and he let himself move, shifting forward on his hands and knees until he was in the right place for Gojyo to get inside him. Gojyo gazed up at him, his eyes soft and dazed, lingering on his face but always, always going back to Hakkai. He heard the flip of a plastic cap and the wheeze as gunk was squeezed out of the tube, then Hakkai slicking it onto Gojyo.

'That's too good,' Gojyo said, with a blissful, crooked smile.

Hakkai hummed his agreement, then Gojyo was being guided inside, thick, hot flesh filling him. Gojyo's hands curved tight around his hips, coaxing him down inch by inch until Gojyo was as deep as he could get, pulsing as Sanzo clenched around him.

'Oh, shit,' Sanzo gasped. Behind him he heard Hakkai grunt and there were fingers, they must be Hakkai's, tracing the join where Gojyo's shaft disappeared inside him. Then the fingers went away and Hakkai's open palm wrapped round him, sticky with lube so he could fuck it.

Gojyo wound his fingers into Sanzo's hair and began to push into him, short, hard strokes as Hakkai tightened his hand. Tiny, soft touches fell onto Sanzo's shoulders and neck and it took him a little while to realise they were kisses. He glanced back over his shoulder.

'What, are you just going to watch?' Sanzo gasped. Hakkai knelt behind him, close and warm and solid.

'It's more than enough,' Hakkai said.

Sanzo lost himself in the heat and the touch that filled him, surrounded him, the little sounds that Gojyo made each time Sanzo moved, Hakkai's breath loud in his ear. He shut his eyes and let it happen. His head drooped and there were light touches as Gojyo stroked his hair away from his face over and over. Hakkai's teeth nipped at the exposed skin of his nape. They were good at this-- they knew what he wanted and Gojyo, Gojyo angled up and in just right, so perfect. Caught between them, safe and not safe as they fucked him he knew why they did this, why Gojyo's hand groped for Hakkai's and twisted together, why Hakkai gasped out 'Gojyo' with his lips pressed into the damp skin of Sanzo's neck, tongue swiping out to lick and to taste him. It was good, so good to be here now, with them. Heat spiralled through him and when he came in Hakkai's hand there was a hot spurt of wet behind him and Hakkai was gasping his name and shaking against him. Gojyo's arms tightened around him as he came with ragged strokes.

After a little while, when his breathing was almost back to normal, Sanzo slowly disentangled himself. No one spoke much as they got cleaned up, but that was normal. Hakkai remade the bed and got into it with a sigh. He sounded content, but tired too.

'Will you stay?' Sanzo heard him say quietly to Gojyo, and saw him get a smile in return. It was sweet, private-looking and nothing like Gojyo's usual brash grin. 'You don't have to go, Sanzo,' Hakkai said.

He shook his head. They all had separate rooms that night and Sanzo didn't intend to waste the opportunity. Anyway, maybe it was better if he left them alone. He got his jeans back on, but didn't bother with anything else.

'Don't think you can sleep late tomorrow because of this,' he warned on his way out and was obscurely comforted to see Gojyo's raised middle finger as a parting salute.

Goku took him aside next morning, after breakfast. He dithered for a few moments before finally tilting his chin up and looking Sanzo straight in the eye. It was true he was growing up, Sanzo mused, quelling the feelings of panic.

'You don't need to get me a cake next time,' he said, solemn and serious-eyed. 'Because I know. But if you do, tell Hakkai to make it a chocolate one.'
