Angel season 4

So, Angel season 4. Wesley's comment about the bucket to Justine. Eeek! "I'll take your bucket away". Holy cow! Wesley kept Justine locked in a cage! Shit. He really has become very dark. He looks like a man in so much pain. Except when he's doing Lilah and then he looks like a man in pain but sweaty too. I'm not sure my eyes can cope with more sweaty Wes/Lilah sex, although I have to admit they look good together. The whole Angel sucking blood from his arm was sexy in a way that made me feel slightly dizzy and want to make one of those 'this is sex' icons.
The 'you don't care' assumptions being traded back and forth by various characters to each other (Fred to Wesley, Gunn to Fred about Wesley, Wesley to himself about everyone else) are getting a bit annoying. It's clear Wesley does care, because he just spent 3 months trying to find Angel, then brought him back from the dead and fed him his own blood. I call that caring, at least on some level.
Fred is less annoying, yay! I'd been hoping for that day to arrive. Adored her tasering Connor, just because she could, drunk on taser power and anger. Gunn seems to have become Mr Boring, I have to say, and this is continuation on from the latter part of S3. He's faded into the background somewhat, the same way Wesley did in early S3. I don't know why this is, but he just doesn't seem to have quite the character development of the others. Connor has washed his hair and put on a few pounds from scoffing all that chocolate. He is very pretty.
I'm wondering what effect electrifying Angel's heart will have on his deadness and exactly what role the X-girl will have in the bigger picture. Also, am I to be worried about the Angel/Cordy thing. Now they've admitted their love for each other, albeit in an incorporeal way, I can feel a drop in my thrill level regarding these two. One of the loveliest scenes in S3 was the one on the bed where they were sleepily making plans for their future (chipmunks on ice) and it was so clear they were in love. Actually saying it to each other compared to that is somewhat less exciting. I don't know. I'm sure there'll be far more angst before any happiness rears its head.

Date: 2005-05-19 12:56 pm (UTC)Still, I'm enjoying making you all want to spoil me!
Talking of which, I got told off today by someone on the saiyuki comm for putting spoilers in my summary! I don't know if they were right, because I thought I'd been incredibly vague. They were snitty about it though, depressingly.
