Finally, finally, after two weeks of stressing over my piles of proper work, I managed to write something for fun. (Something for fun that's not just left as a page of disjointed notes, I mean).  Here's a drabble wot I did for [livejournal.com profile] xsmoonshine.

Title: Dark light
Rating: G
Notes: [livejournal.com profile] xsmoonshine asked for something with Koumyou. I really wanted to write something upbeat, because I feel at heart he's a happy soul, but it didn't quite come off like that. Contains spoilers for the Reload Burial arc.

Dark light

Koumyou sat alone. It was better that Ukoku had left, because who knew what one might do, when the moon fell opal-white on the soft curves of his neck.

Ukoku came in the night, when he could have Koumyou to himself. When Kouryuu was safe asleep. He saw them balanced, light and dark. They were alike, true, but he thought now that Kouryuu would grow into a very different man.

Koumyou swirled the last drops of wine in his cup and watched the moon shatter into fragments on its dark surface.

How could one compare night with day, after all?

It's still very nice, thank you. ^_^ Hope the work is less stress-inducing now.

Thanks:-)

Work is a bit better, but I think it's just the time of year. It's nearly summer and people are feeling frisky, ie, want more done.

(That is one well rounded icon... just like the impersonator XD Sweet.)

Very nice drabble! And even happy souls have secluded moments. :)

Oooh, that's lovely.

You captured the dynamic so well and the way Ukoku and Sanzo are involved in a strange sort of tug-of-war...perfect! Koumyou is really in-character too - hiding more than most people would guess.

Thank you! I love your point about Koumyou. It's so true, because there is this sense that he's something more than he lets on.

koumyou and ukoku = love. I cannot begin to describe how quickly koumyou is stealing my heart.

the fact that koumyou is, physically, more like konzen than sanzo himself just hurts so good.

and the dynamics between koumyou and ukoku = instant braindeath!

luff. [glom]

Thanks:D

Koumyou and Ukoku are amazing together. There's a fliratiousness between them but the hint of something more steely going on underneath.

koumyou and ukoku = love

*nodnodnod* oh yes.
