daegaer - guess what got here a couple of days ago?  Yes, the errant Christmas parcel!  I'm so pleased. I shall duly fill the notebook (pink pages!) with gay porn written in shaky train handwriting. I haven't had a chance to look at the cd yet because my ancient, creaking pc is resisting playing it, but I shall take it to work and try it there. And new manga! Demon Diary is very cute.

And writing question:

Do you prefer writing original fic or fan fiction and why?

Fan fiction, right now. My compulsion to write is pretty much driven by how much I fall in love with other people's characters:) I some original things for myself and in truth I'd like to write more, but I never have the time because I'm always so busy obsessing over fan stuff.

But in 20 years time I don't want to look back and think that I never took my writing anywhere, or never tried to get published. And I have a sneaking love of good horror fiction - it's always been an interest of mine and the original fic things I have written have all been, bascially, horror stories. So, there's this bit of ambition inside me that'd love to get into that market. If I just had more time and didn't have to go to work, or didn't get hooked by fandom so much...
