No luck yet
Jan. 6th, 2005 11:54 amI have a parcel waiting for me at the Post Office - won't be able to get my paws on it until Saturday though, which is almost more than I can stand. The Post Office has decidely not gone with the whole 24 hour culture thing and shuts its little parcel room at 5.30pm. Although they do have to get up very early in the morning, poor things.
In other gripping news, the green vintage 3-piece suite has had no bids so far! Perhaps putting up a picture of the tear on the arm wasn't wise. But then the person who buys it has to come to my house, and stand there with me, saying 'you never said it had a big rip in it!' That would be another thing that would be more than I could stand.
The blackbirds are chirping in the trees next to the dual carriageway and the sound is unbearably mournful - it's just that kind of day: sunny yet strangely bleak. It makes me wish I was tucked up on my settee with a blanket and some daytime tv, or something.

Date: 2005-01-06 02:18 pm (UTC)Luxury! Our local sorting office closes at 1pm, 12 on Saturdays, and the Parcel Force office in West Ham closes at 3.30. No idea why, they're just bonkers.
