Thank you [livejournal.com profile] toscas_kiss for my Yuletide story - I loved it to tiny little bits, but you probably already knew that from my squee on the day! Crush - Dorian/Klaus by [livejournal.com profile] toscas_kiss. Klaus and Dorian are brilliantly in character  and I love Z - he's so sweet.

My Yuletide 2004 fic was Early Light (posted now over at [livejournal.com profile] maryrenaultfics) - based on Fire From Heaven by Mary Renault. A big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] daegaer for betaing.

In other news [livejournal.com profile] ciceqi wrote a rather wonderful Hakkai/Gojyo comment fic here.

See [livejournal.com profile] ponderosa121's droolworthy Hakkai  and Gojyo fanart.

Hmm - a plot. Not off the top of my head. I find that doing 'character study' type pieces can often help to bring out ideas though. What does Garret believe in and what made him so bitter? He obviously cares about what the Keepers think, otherwise he wouldn't keep doing crazy shit for them. Allt hat stuff about money's an excuse, I think.

You wrote this utterly marvellous fic? You single-handedly made me read the Trilogy at last (am three-quarters into Fire From heaven and blessing you at every turn), and I still think your fic is perfect. Wooooo!

OMG! This is your first reading of Fire From Heaven? You lucky thing- and you still have The Persian Boy to read! I remember reading them for the first time and being so incredibly happy I'd found them. They're just... her writing just sucks you in to that time and place.

And thank you for what you said about my story - that's such a lovely thing to say and I'm ridiculously happy and proud I got you to read the book it was based on. Thank you!

Glad you liked it! :-)
Originally I was going to write you Dracula/Keanu Reeves Jonathon Harker with lashings of Victorian denial, melodrama and homoeroticism, but sadly I was only 2/3 of the way rereading it when I got sick, and it'd been too long for me to remember anything correctly but the film. :-P Maybe next year...

Muahaha. Poor old Keanu, he really should stick to films that don't tax him in the accents department and where he can brood a lot.

The Dracula fic you plabbed, or planned, even, sounds absolutely marvellous and just the sort of thing I'd love. Amazingly, seeing as how the novel is a seething mass of repressed sexuality, there's very little fic based on it and this makes me sad. Well, as you say, maybe next year, unless I could bribe you somehow to write it earlier. *ponders on how best to bribe Tosca*
