Pink sunset light is flooding my desk! It's being sent here by the enormous sunset-reflecting cloud currently floating high above the M6 and the car park. It's all very pretty.

Mail squee: Christmas card from [livejournal.com profile] snowballjane - thank you! Thank you too [livejournal.com profile] toscas_kiss for your beautiful card - it's gorgeous and I love the silver tree. Also, [livejournal.com profile] fleurrochard, I loved yours too, with the white feathers that were obviously plucked from Aziraphale's downy parts. Um.

In other news, the Yuletide story is practically all done and beta'ed apart from a few final tweaks and that gives me a pleasant sense of smugness achievement. It leaves me free to carry on with the approximately 7 gazillion story ideas I have for Saiyuki.

Here's a thing - I recently bought a little card file and have the idea that if I write down my story ideas and put them in the card file (perhaps in alphabetical order by character or something), then I will never forget them or lose them. Has anyone else got or tried a similar system for keeping track of story ideas? More importantly, does it work?

Gakked this very interesting link from [livejournal.com profile] faemovana: an article about homosexuality in modern Japan.

I have a notepad file with story ideas. Mostly it keeps growing.

I have about 25 separate notepad files, which is part of the problem and sort of compelled me to get a card file.

Mostly it keeps growing.

Yup.
