Arm update
Nov. 26th, 2006 09:20 pmI bought a new computer chair this afternoon, from Staples, centre of the universe. It has many levers that make it incredibly adjustable and here I am typing with almost no discomfort at all - an amazing difference from my old chair. Just sitting in my old chair this morning made my arm start to tingle and ache. My typing posture now would have ergonomists everywhere licking me in spasms of delight, I think. The chair goes by the charming name of 'Leather Faced Operators Chair'.
Physio tomorrow, for more poking and manipulating. I went to the osteopath on Friday and she told me I have double crush! Which means the median nerve in my right arm is pinched not only at the wrist, giving me truly horrible random tingling in my thumb and forearm, but it is being pinched in my neck too. That is alongside the tennis elbow. I have moved my mouse to the left side, I have been given exercises, I have to swim but only with a float, most importantly I have to cut back on time spent writing. Big sigh.
