Misery

Whoever planted those bombs in Madrid, there can never be any justification for such acts. Watching the dead and injured toll rise from the first reports until now is horrific, and shattering. Blather and a meme

Am working from home today, although I don't seem to be getting much done (again). We were supposed to be going to visit a manufacturer this morning but this was stymied by Network Rail forgetting to put anti-freeze in the points between here and Brum, and an accident (we weren't in it) involving a lorryload of frozen chickens -apparently they were all over the motorway. So I came home. Now I just need to motivate myself to do that pile of reading...

Obviously not working

Okay, so BS 7000 is failing to hold my attention, less so than the constant stream of 'your message has been returned' spam which I've been receiving this week - a neat trick, because you (I) automatically open it, worrying that my emails are bouncing. It's obviously virus loaded, is sometimes written in Polish, often with a long string of garbled text which you have to squint at just in case it contains any part of a message you sent. And very very annoying.

Now I really *am* going back to reading. Really.

Shrieking!

Elijah Wood on Graham Norton tonight- the first thing Elijah brings up is those wacky stories the fans write, and those crazy pictures that are photomanipulations of the cast. At this point I thought there might be a few choice extracts from some fic, but instead cue Graham calling up the LotR manips from The Theban Band site, and Louise shrieking on the settee. It was a Golden Moment.
