Snippet for Irisbleu

irisbleu, who asked for Aziraphale/Crowley and kissing. A classic combination! Even after all this time they still make me go all melty.
Fandom: Good Omens
Pairing: Crowley/Aziraphale
Rating: kissing
They were on a park bench. Assorted wildfowl grumbled at their feet, wondering why the bread supply had suddenly dried up. Crowley could feel their incessant, simple thoughts of territory, sex, food and plumage maintenance. Aziraphale's bag of crusts lay in his lap, abandoned.
Crowley's heart thumped in time with the footsteps of passers-by he couldn't even see, all of them happily unaware of the two men sitting side by side with their lips touching, apparently frozen in place. He began to wonder if Aziraphale had nodded off.
They hadn't moved since the unthinkable had happened - between one thrown crust and the next, without plan or foresight. Aziraphale had been sitting inside the curve of Crowley's arm where it lay on the back of the bench. Crowley told himself he was just pausing to regroup before he put a stop to things. Kissing Aziraphale - what was the point of that? He could kiss anyone he wanted, anytime, anywhere. Glamour models, firemen, nubile film stars, not bookshop owners with a thing for Bibles. Not him, not the suave demon he knew himself to be. He would leap up any moment now and-- oh.
Aziraphale moved his hand to tangle his fingers in Crowley's hair, pressing gently on the back of his head to draw him closer. Crowley moved his head a little to one side and it was good, really good, having his mouth at that angle. He parted his lips. Aziraphale tasted of the cappuccino he'd had at the café. Frothy coffee he still called it. A hopelessly old-fashioned boring dusty angel, who was now making a breathy sighing noise, as if something had surprised him. Blindly, eyes shut tight, he put a hand on Aziraphale's jaw and stroked his face. He heard the gentle commotion of the café nearby and the rustle of Aziraphale's paper bag as it fell to the floor. A hand made its way up his thigh, leaving a warm imprint wherever it rested.
Presently he stopped thinking about unimportant things and thought instead about how much closer he and Aziraphale could get if they weren't on this stupid bench and how he was certain he had never, ever kissed anyone quite this hard or thoroughly before. He saw stars, pale and silvery, and at some point they managed to get home and there was more kissing, long, slow and naked, and some laughter.
Later, leaning forehead to forehead, breathing heavily against each other with eyes open and fully aware, he'd forgotten he wasn't supposed to want this.

Date: 2004-10-27 07:16 am (UTC)I'd rather read kissingfics than smut, really. There's something that's almost more intimate about a kiss. *g*
Reading this made me feel better about going to work sick.

Date: 2004-10-27 08:04 am (UTC)I love the mood and the emotion behind it. I like the whole "I CAN'T be kissing Aziraphale...I kiss anyone and everyone and it doesn't mean anything....really, it doesn't!" panic.
Wonderful.

For some reason I immediately thought of how this could apply to Aziraphale and Crowley...
Glamour models, firemen, nubile film stars, not bookshop owners with a thing for Bibles.
I like that "firemen" is in there--as if Crowley's taken the sex life he's supposed to have from various pin-up calenders.

Exactly. I don't think he really ever kisses anyone at all, just likes to think he could if he wanted.

Hee, that line cracked me up - never mind the ducks it could decribe approximately half the people I know in RL.
