Ow, my throat hurts. Ow owwww.  It's either tonsilitis or a throat infection, but one side is all red and swollen. Am off to doctor's to get it poked at.

I loved [livejournal.com profile] connotations, and have succumbed to [livejournal.com profile] daegaer's MASSIVE Weiss Kreuz pimpage. Well, okay, I suggested watching one episode and then four hours and several missed panels later we were emerging from the TV room blurry eyed and I was seriously craving Aya/Crawford. I stayed up late last night and just had to watch about 5 more episodes. Will do a proper con report later, when things (ie, me) are less blurry.

How much have you watched so far? Once you start watching, it's so addictive, am so happy that Daegaer didn't send it to me in November or NaNoWriMo would be screwed :P

Well, since I know this one year in advance, it should be possible to make arrangements, don't you think :P Keep me posted?

I'm up to episode 4 of the second series, and am wondering what the hell's going on! Where's Yoji? And is that Nagi and if it is, why don't Weiss recognise him? I'm guessing it's not Nagi after all, but maybe a character drawn, cunningly, in an identical manner. And why is Ken now called Kyo, or was he always called Kyo and I just didn't notice? Arrrrgh! Confusing, but then I'm looking forward to things being resolved a bit soon, .... hopefully... *makes desperate face*

Daegaer told me that they look a bit different in this one, so I was prepared for it, but it's still a bit disappointing though - their faces seem to be less characterful.

ps, will indeed keep you posted. the comm, [livejournal.com profile] connotations, usually has all the news too.

That's not Nagi, nor is Kyo Ken. They'll all be present... later. I had the same problem at first, with Todou, the Nagi clone :P

And will join the community, slash con, would be so much fun :D

Todo is such an annoying little fellow, far more annoying than Nagi (who had the sulky teenage boy thing down pat, but wasn't as smug).

Oh! Is "Todo" really "Tod", do you think? Like "Toto" is actually "Tot"? How many characters called "dead" can the series have?!

Toto was really Tot? So Todo very likely could be Tot, er, Tod too. It reminds me of the mattresses named Zem in Hitch-Hiker's Guide, 'all of us are called Dead, mostly we are evil and eventually we are killed by assassins.'

It took me a while to work out, but all of Schreient have one syllable German words for names (that get butchered mightily in the subtitles):

Hell (bright) - the glasses-wearing leader who seems to have gone to university with Masafumi

Schön (beautiful) - the blonde ex-model

Neu (new) - the silent Asuka look-alike

Tot (dead) - the bright-blue haired girl Nagi likes

Tod means "death" and is a noun - all of Schreient seem to have adjectives for names. I don't know if that's meant to be significant, as Schuldig ("guilty") also has an adjective for a name.
