Whoa - I got 8 questions right on University Challenge tonight. Mostly because I knew what all the chairs were called and who designed them. But still, not bad in my personal roll call of UC questions answered correctly. I'm sure Paxman was leering at Frith from the Public Relations team.

fan_the_vote - even though the outcome technically has nothing to do with me I'm still going to volunteer. Shrub must be stopped! At all costs! Even if it means drabbles! Or better still, porn!

the outcome of the vote has to do with the whole world! and the resulting porn drabbles and fics will be available for everybody, too ;-)

Yay! Yes, technically it has nothing to do with me, but in reality it affects me and the whole world. I truthfully don't know if Kerry would be any better if it came to the crunch, it's just that Bush junior seems decidedly worse. If his Enron mates are anything to go by, he has all the morals of a dead goldfish. And he appears to have the intellectual capacity of a whelk.

hm, yeah, could be a matter of choosing the lesser evil... alas, I've lived such elections here too often (last time we had to choose between a rabid nationalist and xenophobe and an ex-communist with about as much morals as Bush but slightly more brains).
