General waffle

The train home was late and I had to sit and talk to my old lecturer for an hour, which was okay but sort of tiring. Am feeling very weary now. I can hear that I'm missing University Challenge - the increasingly hysterical voice of Paxman is floating down the stairs to my desk.

I had a work related meeting with an old college friend today, who's now doing some work for us on our dreaded websites of ultimate insanityTM. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him because he makes me snigger a lot, but he can also be a liability if not controlled with a firm hand, prone to stirring up unwanted emotions: 'Do you two not get on?' 'Do you two fancy each other?' Said in wide eyed innocence in front of the two in question, plus all their friends/workmates/family.

Good thing in the post this morning: a set of smoochy photos from Vik and Adrian who were on their way to Spain and wanted to drop me a line from the airport passport booth.

daegaer, I'll mail you tomorrow about the fic, and maybe also with a bit of resolution for poor frustrated Crowley, depending on anyone trying to distract me with talk of heavy machinery at work tomorrow.

Right now I'm reading a Jeeves/Wooster fic; Cornettes twelve pager by Careena. ETA: The language is a bit off, I think.

I also just read a Dom/Billy fic called A quiet night, a happy ending, which achieved a dizzy peak of sweetness, but in a good, quiet way
