Jason Isaacs was very funny, presenting the award for best cinematographer at the Baftas tonight: 'What do they do? They paint with light, sort of like a Jedi Rolf Harris'. Hee!

Peter Weir won best director for Master and Commander, which I thought he thoroughly deserved. Return of the King won best film, which it had to really otherwise there would have been an outcry. [in Ms Lux's sitting room]

Bill Murray won best actor and got Sophia Coppola to read out his acceptance speech as he couldn't be there, and it was the sweetest funniest thing, especially the bit where he praised Sophia Coppola to the skies and told the audience to clap her, by which time she was blushing. Love!

Oh, and Stephen Fry is the funniest man alive - it's official.

There was outcry in my front room over Mr Depp not getting best actor, let me tell you. Bizarrely, it was mostly from Patrick although I did agree.

I had a hug from Dickie Attenborough once. Just thought I'd mention that.

HuzZAH!

I'm not so happy about ROTK, since I feel M&C was a far better movie, but hey -- it's ROTK.
