Unwanted Bulk Email. I have it. Woke up to 101 emails in my inbox, all virusy. I've installed Mailwasher, a snazzy little free program that lets you check your email on your email provider's server, before it's downloaded to your pc. It lets you delete and bounce back the emails. I've also contacted abuse at the person's email provider, so hopefully this will all soon be as a bad dream.

I read somewhere that Johnny Depp based a lot of Jack Sparrow on Keith Richards. Well, he was very, very funny. Everything was swashy and buckly and fun, and he looked lovely in his pirate's outfit. Fave bits: Jack Sparrow's entrance on the sinking boat. Jack and Will's fight at the beginning, mmm slashy, and the ending. And 'bloody pirates!' as Elizabeth is rowing off in the boat.
I thought it was too long though, but that could've been because I was wearing flipflops and the cinema air condition was set to FREEEEZE.

Date: 2003-08-17 02:51 am (UTC)Pirates, yar! The actors all seemed to be having enormous fun with it - the pirates in dresses! "You look nice"! Jack Sparrow's "No, I can't walk straight" flounce! Ahhh. (The flea pit I saw it in was decidedly not air conditioned, and smelled rather ripe. The movie made up for it, though).
