I had a beer after work and now I'm all dozy. I keep trying to write, but am bombarded with all sorts of random images and phrases that I have to write down but then don't really lead anywhere. I have faith that if I just note them down, then one day they'll all find a home. Either that or I'll realise they were crap anyway.

And, daegaer, why is 70's!Aziraphale still in my head? Please make him go away, please. He's scaring me, with his flares and big collars and his appalling hairdo.

I really have to knuckle down this weekend and get my journal papers out of the way. The deadline's looming rather ominously, and the last thing I want to worry about this month is stuff like that: I want to be free to worry about my new job instead! Er, I mean relax and enjoy myself. The actual papers shouldn't take too long-a few days work at most, as they're based on work I did a couple of years ago. If I start tomorrow, then I should be able to finish them by next weekend, leaving me two weeks to fiddle with them. That's a nice leisurely pace, I think.

‘This polyester really itches, you know’, Aziraphale moaned, pulling his green tank top down more firmly over his scratchy new shirt, which Crowley had brought round. It was cream coloured and covered with a repeat pattern of black Bentleys. The enormous collar tips drooped pathetically over Aziraphale’s shoulders.

And I haven't even got him to the disco-dancing class yet...

Oh, dear God. Never mind, Aziraphale, soon you'll be able to dance just like Crowley and then the pair of you can represent Britain at the Eurovision.

(No one can convince me Crowley wasn't the choreographer for Israel's entry this year, BTW).
