Excitement!
Mar. 26th, 2003 11:27 amI've sent off my registration form for Connotations. My first con of any kind, ever. I can't wait to meet people.
Remus/Sirius
I have gone into a severe Remus/Sirius 'must read' mode. My real kink (using my shiny new (for me) definition of kink: something you like to see in a story, a lot) for these two is to read about them as adults, which seems comparitively rare in the fandom, compared to the amount of people who like to write about them as teenagers. The adult thing for me comes from the angst potential. I'm not saying that they don't have it as teenagers -Lupin's a werewolf, what could be angstier? But the power dynamics of teenagers falling in love doesn't affect me as much those of grown men doing the same thing. Maybe because there's that much more at risk when you're older and your life's a bit of a mess. There's more to counterpoint the love, to give it a setting.

Date: 2003-03-26 11:41 am (UTC)Re West Wing, I like Josh/Sam, although I also have a soft spot for Josh/Donna, because they remind me of a screwball comedy couple. I also like Sam/Ainsley - as you can see I'm, um, omnisexual? In other words, sometimes I'm all about the slash and sometimes all about the het, and sometimes both. I'm such a slut *g*.
Star Trek was my first fandom, too, from the time before I discovered slash. Was a ST fan from way back and I always knew that there was... something between Kirk and Spock. I just wasn't quite sure what, although in my head I made up all sorts of pre-slashy stories. Then when I discovered slash it all fell neatly into place.
Sometimes I even make my boyfriend wear Spock ears
*Choke*.
Thanks for the giggle!
