Hmmm, feeling nicely virtuous today, having passed on a set of Eroica translations.
The weekend promises mud and digging and ice-cream - all good things. Not at the same time though. My garden looks like Sauron's back yard, a sea of mud and holes and stones, but at least it isn't smoking. This is the weekend that I have to get the ground ready for the lawn-sowing, and also get all the new perennials in. I bought a climbing rose last week from Woolies - can you believe someone named it 'Golden Showers'? It was next to a rose called 'Schoolgirl' and I was wondering if I was in the special fetish gardening aisle. I looked but there was no 'Manacles' or 'White Panties' or 'Fireman's Helmet'.
Disgusting war buzz-words: Bush and Blair's 'shock and awe' bombing campaign. It's loathsome when politicians dress up death with mealy-mouthed marketing phrases. There really is no hope for the human race.
On a less frothing note, I like all the drabble and questions memes that are going around.
