For all those (by which I mean me) procrastinating over finishing your goddamn fic, the deadline is still 21 April.

In other news, my triumphant return to the gym this week resulted in the trainer designing me a training program based on something called German Body Composition.

It seems to mean that you do super sets of resistance exercises quite fast (30 seconds between each set) so it's essentially like doing cardio but with weights. You use resistance weights that are quite heavy, so for example in one of the exercises I use 5kg handweights (I used to only ever use up to 3kg).

I came home and read about this technique to learn that it's supposed to release Human Growth Hormone, which in turn supposedly burns up body fat much faster than normal cardiovascular exercise. Which is good if it works, because damn those scales.

After the terrifying resistance super sets, I do a bit of actual cardio, intervals for preference. Then I have three really really really hard core exercises. In conclusion, my trainer is evil.

Talking of all things jumpy and sweaty... Rafa won at the tennis and was adorable. Roger was way less adorable by losing but I forgive him because of his perfect hair and general pretty leapiness. Also, Rafa came along to watch and jinx his last match!
