Dreamwidth, Merlin and the tennis

Late as usual, I'm finally fiddling around with my dreamwidth account trying to set it up all nice. I'm louiselux over there too if anyone wants to add me to their reading circle. I'm going to keep reading here as my main fandom thing - I just don't want to miss out on stuff over there too. eta: I'm going to crosspost once I figure out how to do that.

I watched Merlin yesterday. The whole 'Merlin, you are such a useless tit' thing from Arthur is getting a bit overdone, isn't it?

That said, I like their bantery bits. I keep wondering if their off screen friendship is leaking over into their on screen relationship - whatever it is, I like how their eye contact at those moments tips over into something a bit too intense and flirty.

I also like the idea that Merlin is Arthur's confidant and that he is very watchful of Arthur. At this point, to me, Merlin comes across like he doesn't really think about sex at all. Is he going to be set up with Morgana? Because there's no hint of that yet. Also problematic because Morgana is clearly gay for Gwen.

Rafa lost at the tennis yesterday, although I had to miss watching it. In fact, he was crushed by Marin Cilic 6-1 6-3, and then afterwards said that he was mentally 'not there'. I find this kind of sad and worrying, but maybe it's nothing more than him having had a largely crappy year of injury and disappointment, and now he wants it to be over. Roger is still out of action, presumed babysitting while Mirka takes the credit cards on holiday.

I think some of the overstatement in Merlin (although finding a million new ways to distract the guards never gets old) is because it's aimed at younger folk who (in TV lore, anyway, no idea if it's true) thrive on repetition.

I don't mind, because whenever Arthur tells Merlin he's a tit Merlin gives him a look and then there's the meltage in my knee area and the slashy thoughts start. ♥

Merlin will start thinking about sex as soon as Arthur starts behaving properly. And quite right too. ^_^

There are definite looks going on all over the place - I do love that aspect of them. They have the most intense eye contact. V flirty!

I agree with you on Merlin - he seems a little too uninterested (even the Morgana/Merlin last week felt forced) and the Morgana/Gwen is perhaps the most obvious pairing ever in that series....
(although Morgana/Uther keeps poking its head *G*)

Crossposting is very easy- log in on DW and go to account settings. Click the 'other sites' tab and right at the top will be a section on crossposting. "Add new account" to put in the name, password, and site you want to crosspost to. Thereafter, any time you post a new entry on DW, at the bottom amongst the other options it will have a 'crosspost' checkbox. If you want the box to be automatically checked every time, select 'crosspost automatically' when you are setting up the account info.

Poor Rafa. I have felt bad for him and his multitude of hurt over the last few months. Although, maybe he wasn't "there" because Roger wasn't there. ;)

I heart Dreamwidth. I had considered making it my primary journal and just crossposting everything, but I think I like it as my fic journal. It's definitely a million times better than LJ for fic. I just wish they had more layout options, but those will come with time, I suppose.

HELL yes. I boggle at it. As I was discussing in my reaction to the show, last season they were actually trying to die for each other with the whole poisoned chalice thing. Now Arthur's back to his silly "You really are completely useless, Merlin" comments and it feels like such a reversal.

I do hope Merlin gets set up with Morgana so they can be magicky together, but he'll have to grow up a lot first. Like, convince us that he's actually reached puberty, maybe?

i am still tickled by the "merlin you tit" thing, but to be fair i missed the whole first season. i can see how the novelty might wear off. was last week not sort of leaning towards merlin/morgana?

oh rafa. i saw the second set, and it was really pretty dismal. cilic did play well, he served amazingly and he was really going for his shots, but rafa seemed checked out from the start - it actually reminded me so much of mandy's match where he lost to cilic in the uso. it was really just depressing. i have to say i can't believe rafa is 100% fit at the moment. he just seems so out of sorts. it makes me sadface hard.

Well, someone has to spend that Wimbly & RG prize money, right? And after sitting through 9 months of pregnancy with twins, while he played for hours, I can't think of anyone who deserves a shopping holiday more then Mirka.
